A World Leader
With over 8,000 employees worldwide and annual sales of
about USD2 billion as of end-2006, LP Displays, with its
global operations, is a leading supplier of television and
monitor tubes. The company produces one in every four
television and computer monitor tubes sold worldwide.
History
Founded in 2001, LP Displays, formerly LG. Philips Displays,
was originally created as a joint venture between Royal
Philips Electronics of the Netherlands and Korea's LG
Electronics. Now an independent company, its management team
is in Hong Kong because of its status as an international
business hub along with its close proximity to China and
other key markets.
Leadership
Leading LP Displays are Jeong IL Son, President and CEO, and
Deok Sik Moon, CFO and Deputy CEO, who have successfully
merged the company's multicultural workforce into one solid
Company.
Innovation
CRT remains a major display technology and offers the
absolute best price and picture performance in the market
today. LP Displays' CRTs are flat, slim and high-definition
and are competing excellently with new display technologies.
