LG.Philips Displays runs successful show during IFA 2003 in Berlin

LG.Philips Displays held a highly successful private show at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Berlin, Germany from September 1-4, 2003, which demonstrated 10 of the company’s selected products and concepts. The show coincided with the IFA 2003 event in Berlin.

Two themes highlighted the show: the new Cybertube+ SuperSlim product line and the Cost Innovation features offered by LG.Philips Displays products.

The world’s No. 1 display provider hosted 30 customer/companies, four suppliers and nine media representatives (mostly from Europe). An estimated 170 visitors dropped in the four-day show.

Among the 10 Products and concepts shown, the top stars were the 32” SuperSlim and the 21” SuperSlim as well as the 28” WSRF / 29” RF Tint with CO7 gun.

The SuperSlim products came as a welcome surprise to our customers – especially on the technological perspective - and were warmly received as an impressive innovation to compete with flat panels. All major European customers expressed interest in the new product line, adding they will start their internal arrangements to study the introduction of the 32”WSRF SuperSlim. Customers were also convinced to introduce the 21”RF SuperSlim.

In general, customer feedback was overwhelmingly encouraging. They were very positive on the new Cybertube+ SuperSlim products and were extremely receptive to product features such as tint glass and CO7 Gun.

LG.Philips Displays’ Development and Engineering group’s team members were on hand during the Berlin show to offer their technical assistance on application engineering services.

The world’s No.1 display provider indeed looks set in strengthening its leadership position in the industry.
