LP Displays highlights more slimmed down products at IMID 2007
LP Displays showcased its latest
innovative product portfolio, highlighted by the world’s
thinnest 14”, 21”, and 29” SND (Slim Natural Displays), at the
International Meeting on Information Displays or IMID 2007. The
annual event was held at the Daegu Exco in Daegu, Korea on
August 29-31, 2007.
This is the first time LP
Displays, a leading global manufacturer of cathode ray tubes for
TV sets and computer monitors, showed the 14” and 29” UltraSlim
models, which measure 27.5cm and 29.6cm, respectively, from
front to rear. They are dubbed Slim Natural Display (SNDs) as
they offer markedly reduced depths compared with existing CRTs.
They are expected to help boost the sales of CRTs in an
increasingly competitive display market.
In addition to the continuing
innovative efforts of LP Displays to further slim down the
UltraSlim, the added bonus feature of the product portfolio
remains its picture performance-competitive price advantage.
Breaking the barrier of the 30cm
depth for the first time in the global display market, LP
Displays’ 14" and 29" SNDs are expected to gain popularity from
customers not only in Japan, Europe, and Americas, but also
emerging markets including Brazil, Russia, India and China.
With the introduction of its SND
line-up to the entire LP Displays’ product portfolio, the
company expects to further consolidate its leadership in the CRT
display market.
