New cost-effective, high-resolution tubes launched at CES 2003 show – Bellagio Hotel, Las Vegas

CES is the largest consumer electronics show in the USA, where all major electronic companies exhibit their products, attracting people in the set making industry.

LG.Philips Displays proved once more its leadership in the cathode ray tube (CRT) industry by introducing a new generation of cost-effective, high-resolution color picture tubes at the annual CES show for customers in Las Vegas held January 9-11.

The three-day show at Hotel Bellagio drew some 120 visitors from North and South America, Europe and Japan representing 20 customer-companies, four competitors and three suppliers. The attendance of LG.Philips Displays’ key customers, and their excellent feedback, were further proof of LPD’s No. 1 position in the CRT business.

This year’s private CES show was very successful, and it has reinforced our image as the CRT leader in the market place.
